DULUTH, Minn. – Four members of the St. Olaf College men's and women's Nordic skiing teams raced at the NCAA Central Regional Championships on Friday and Saturday at Spirit Mountain Nordic Center.

Lizzy Weider, and junior
Amae Kam-Magruder represented the St. Olaf women, while senior
Liam Caputo Sullivan was the lone member of the men's team to compete. The Ole women finished third in the 7.5K Classic Interval Start and fifth in the 20K Freestyle Mass Start, while the men were fifth in the five-team field in both races.
On Friday, Cope-Schaeffer recorded a ninth-place finish (24:19.2) in the 7.5K Classic for the lone top-10 performance of the weekend for St. Olaf. Kam-Magruder (14th, 24:57.2) and Weider (20th, 25:23.3) were also in the top 20, while Caputo Sullivan took 30th (30:49.9).
Cope-Schaeffer was again the top finisher for St. Olaf in the 20K Freestyle, taking 13th (56:11.7), followed by Weider in 21st (58:18.1) and Kam-Magruder in 24th (59:10.4). Caputo Sullivan was 28th (1:03:53.9) for the men on Saturday.
St. Olaf's teams will travel to Lake Placid, N.Y. for the U.S. Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) National Championships, which will begin with the 7.5K Classic Interval Start on Tuesday, March 10.
