LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – The St. Olaf College women's Nordic skiing team won its fifth consecutive U.S. Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) team national title as the USCSA National Championships concluded over the weekend.
Women's Nordic won all four of the events to secure its fifth overall team title in as many years, finishing 62 points ahead of any other institution with 28 points across the four events. By winning the 7.5K Classic Interval Start, Freestyle Sprint, 15K Freestyle Mass Start, and Classic Team Sprint, the Oles extended their dominance at the USCSA National Championships to 16 first-place finishes in the last 18 events on the national stage.
Men's Nordic skiing finished the week in second place overall with 108 points, 40 points behind Paul Smith's College in the team standings, while women's alpine skiing tied for sixth, and men's alpine skiing was 22nd. The Ole Nordic and alpine women also took home the President's Award by a 39-point margin ahead of Clarkson University, while the men were second in that competition.
Individually, women's Nordic had four of the top-five and six of the top-12 finishers in the individual combined standings. Junior

Liesl Cope-Schaeffer in third, junior
Lily Ward in fourth, first year
Anna Peikert in fifth, sophomore
Lizzy Weider in eighth, and sophomore
Annika Fuhrmann in 12th. Sophomore
Paavo Rova concluded the competition in second place individually in men's Nordic and was joined in the top 10 by sophomore
Daniel Gladkov in ninth.
