LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – The St. Olaf College women's Nordic skiing team won the 7.5K Classic Interval Start, while the men's team took fourth to open the U.S. Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) National Championships on Tuesday at Mt. Van Hoevenberg.
The St. Olaf women had six of the top-11 individual finishers on their way to their 13th first-place team finish in the last 15 events at the USCSA National Championships since the start of the 2021-22 event. The Ole women finished with a total of 11 points, 17 ahead of second-place Paul Smith's College, while the men were fourth with 52 points. The races were held with unseasonably warm temperatures in the low 50s.

Annika Fuhrmann all placed in the top 11 to earn USCSA All-America accolades for the women. Kam-Magruder was the runner-up in 23:15.8, finishing less than five seconds behind Greta Bochenek of Colorado Mesa University.
Cope-Schaeffer joined Kam-Magruder on the podium in third (23:47.1) for the highest USCSA national finish of her career so far. Weider and Ward were separated by just over one second in sixth (25:12.2) and seventh (25:13.6), respectively, to give the Oles four First Team All-America (top eight) performances. Peikert (10th, 26:09.1) and Fuhrmann (11th, 26:17.1) earned Second Team All-America honors with their top-16 results.
Rova led the Ole men to fourth and landed Second Team All-America distinction by taking 14th (22:40.9). Sophomore

Lance Hastings were also in the top 30, with Gladkov in 21st (23:14.5), Aldrich in 22dn (23:18.9), and Hastings in 28th (23:53.5). Senior

The USCSA National Championships will continue on Wednesday, March 11 with the Freestyle Sprint.
