NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The St. Olaf College men's and women's track and field teams combined to register 13 top-three finishes at the unscored Carleton Relays on Saturday afternoon at Laird Stadium.
Sophomore
Max Albertson and junior
Aries Mendez accounted for St. Olaf's two first-place finishes on the day, with Albertson winning the long jump and Mendez winning the discus throw. Albertson vaulted all the way up to second in program history with a winning mark of 7.14 meters (23' 5 ¼"), which ranks second in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) and tied for 25th in NCAA Division III this season.
Albertson was one of three Oles in the top four in the men's long jump, as senior
Eh Ler Moo was the runner-up to Albertson with a mark of 6.57 meters (21' 6 ¾"). Albertson was also the runner-up in the triple jump after jumping 13.42 meters (44' ½").

Austin McInturff and junior
Lance Nemecek added runner-up finishes for the St. Olaf men in the 400-meter dash (50.78) and 800-meter run (1:56.12), respectively.
Mendez won the women's discus throw by over one meter with a throw of 37.99 meters (124' 7"). First year
Izzi Jaeckle led three Oles in the top four in the women's 400-meter dash with a runner-up time of 59.51 seconds, with sophomore
Molly DiNardo (1:00.13) and sophomore
Nora Mickelson (1:00.80) right behind in third and fourth, respectively.
Jaeckle was also part of St. Olaf's runner-up 4x100-meter relay (50.52), anchoring the relay after legs by senior
Emma Storbakken, first year
Sophie Herweijer, and senior
Zoe Matre. St. Olaf also had three of the top-five finishers in the 800-meter run, as senior
Sophie Abernethy was third (2:19.56), junior
Ella Landis was fourth (2:19.68), and sophomore
Siri Erickson was fifth (2:23.75).
The Ole men will compete at the Gary Wilson Invitational at the University of Minnesota on Wednesday, April 23, while both teams send representatives to the Drake Relays from Wednesday through Saturday, April 23-26.
