Track and field teams combine for 11 USTFCCCA All-Region accolades

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The St. Olaf College men's and women's track and field teams combined to earn 11 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-North Region accolades during the 2026 outdoor season, as announced on Tuesday.

Five individuals and one relay landed seven honors for the St. Olaf women, while three individuals accounted for four accolades for the men. The top-eight individuals and each member of the top-eight relay teams in each region on the year-end Athletic.net Descending Order Lists collected All-Region distinction.

St. Olaf's women's 4x400-meter relay of first year Cora DenHartog, sophomore Izzi Jaeckle, first year Eleanor Semple, and first year Claire Stein posted the No. 2 time in the region (3:44.74), while three members of that relay were honored individually.

Stein picked up regional honors in the 400-meter hurdles (4th, 1:01.45) and heptathlon (5th, 4,604), DenHartog did so in the 800-meter run (7th, 2:12.48), and Jaeckle did so in the 400-meter dash (8th, 56.53).

Senior Isabel Wyatt secured a second consecutive all-region honor in the 800-meter run (5th, 2:11.94), while sophomore Abi Lindquist was honored in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (6th, 11:08.01).

For the men, senior Kevin Turlington led the way with the region's top time in the 10,000-meter run (29:17.58) and the No. 2 time in the 5,000-meter run (14:01.93), adding two outdoor all-region honors to his two from the indoor season.

Junior Max Albertson and sophomore Garrett Seppanen were first-time all-region performers, with Albertson ranking fourth in the long jump 7.29m) and Seppanen eighth in the 1,500-meter run (3:51.20).

Albertson (long jump), Stein (400-meter hurdles), Turlington (10,000-meter run), and the women's 4x400-meter relay will all compete on day one of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday, May 21 in La Crosse, Wis.
