NEW ORLEANS, La. – The St. Olaf College men's and women's cross country teams checked in at No. 11 and No. 23, respectively, in this week's NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Cross Country National Coaches' Polls, as released on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
After competing at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday, the St. Olaf men came in at No. 11 and the women at No. 23 this week, with both programs extending their lengthy streaks in the national poll. The men's program has been ranked for 59 consecutive polls and the women for 41 in a row.
On Saturday, head coach
Brian Power's men's team posted a runner-up finish on their home course, trailing top-ranked and defending national champion UW-La Crosse. The Oles got a runner-up finish from senior
Kevin Turlington, who was joined in the top 10 by classmate
Jack Deaver.

Erica Maker's women's team was third at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday in a field with four nationally-ranked teams. Senior
Lauren Walda led the Oles with a sixth-place performances, as the Oles trailed this week's No. 11 (Carleton College) and No. 16 (UW-La Crosse) teams in the country.
Both teams will head to Colfax, Wis. for the Blugold Invitational on Friday, Oct. 3. The men's 8K will start at 4:15 p.m., followed by the women's 6K at 5:15 p.m.
