LA CROSSE, Wis. – The St. Olaf College men's and women's alpine skiing teams had four individual top-five finishes at the Dan Nagy FIS Race on Saturday and Sunday at Mount La Crosse.
First years
Jackson Reents and
Tate Wilker both placed in the top four in Saturday's men's slalom, while senior
Jessica Stanton did so in the women's slalom. On Sunday, senior
Wyatt Shultz was in the top five in the men's slalom as well.
Reents earned a spot on the podium with a third-place performance in the slalom on Saturday with a time of 1:27.27 over his two runs. Wilker was right behind Reents in fourth (1:29.14). For the women, Stanton took fourth (1:36.47) and was joined in the top 10 by first year
Eloise Backer in 10th (1:39.81).
Shultz was the lone top-five finisher for the Oles on Sunday in fifth (1:29.95).
St. Olaf will head to Spirit Mountain in Duluth for the Atmore FIS event held Friday through Sunday, Jan. 30 – Feb. 1.
