Ashlyn Jore broke program records in the 60-meter hurdles and 60-meter dash, respectively, for the St. Olaf College women's track and field team at the Tostrud Classic on Friday night at Tostrud Center.
Stein broke the program record in the 60-meter hurdles with a winning time of 9.05 seconds, while Jore bettered the 1999 record set by Amanda Olson in the 60-meter dash by one one-hundredth of a second with a time of 8.02 seconds in the finals. Stein's first-place finish in the 60-mter hurdles was one of four event victories for the Oles at the unscored meet, which was the team's final competition before the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships.
After entering the night with a personal-best time of 9.55 seconds in the event, Stein clocked in at 9.16 seconds in the prelims and 9.05 seconds in the finals to top the 2023 school record set by Rebekah Salfer. Stein's time is the fastest in the MIAC in the event this season and ranks third on St. Olaf's all-time performances list.
Jore posted a time of 8.05 seconds in the prelims of the 60-meter dash to qualify for the finals before shaving off three one-hundredths of a second to break Olson's 27-year-old record. The senior's time was good for fourth in the event, just one one-hundredth of a second out of second.

Ella Landis led four Oles in the top six in the 1,000-meter run by winning the event in 3:03.21. Senior

Molly Kate McCloskey added another first-place finish on the track in the 5,000-meter run (19:14.64).
First year
Svea Frantzich recorded the top jump of the day in the long jump with a mark of 5.48 meters (17' 11 ¾"), with Jore not far behind in third (5.34m, 17' 6 ¼"). First year
Eleanor Semple was the runner-up in the 200-meter dash (26.29), which ranks fourth on St. Olaf's all-time performers list and seventh on the program's performances list.
St. Olaf will head across town for the MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at Carleton College's Recreation Center next week, starting with the pentathlon on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m.
