Men's track and field competes against Carleton and Hamline

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's track and field team finished in third place against Carleton and Hamline on Friday at Tostrud Center. 

The Pipers' team won with 117 points, the Knights followed with 94 points, and the Oles finished with 79 points.

The Oles won three events. Sam Primozich finished the 1 Mile Run with the lead time of 4:36.98. Liban Jama won the 1,000 Meter run with a time of 2:28.58. In the Pole Vault, Eli Knutson took first with a distance of 3.95 meters.

Keith Ketola and Joey Pugh earned the Oles two second place finishes. Ketola ran the 3,000 Meter Run in 8:42.40, and Pugh raced to a 1:24.06 time in the 600 Meter Run.

The Ole team of Pugh, Knutson, Justin Elstad, and Chris Frick finished in second place in the 4x400 Meter Relay with a time of 3:30.13.

Benjamin Scott added a third place finish for the Oles by completing the 60 Meter Hurdles in 9.24.

Next up for the Oles is a meet with Bethel and Gustavus on Friday.
