MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -
Sean Lonergan recorded a time of 4:13.49 in the mile, which currently leads all of NCAA Division III, as the St. Olaf College men's track and field team competed at the Minnesota Open on Saturday afternoon.
Lonergan placed fourth and recorded a time of 4:13.49 in the mile. The senior's time currently leads the country in Division III by nearly five seconds.
Samuel Stresemann followed Lonergan in sixth, and his career-best time of 4:25.03 ranks 10th in the Division III, followed by
Reuben Kosche (4:26.99, 18th in NCAA DIII) in seventh and
Chris Brenk (4:29.84, 38th in DIII) in eighth.
In the 400-meter run
Benjamin Scott was sixth, recording a time of 54.12, while
Luke Malek had a career-best time of 2:01.80 in the 800-meter run and finished eighth. Another eighth-place finish came from
Duncan Forbes (23.57) in the 200-meter dash.
Lucas Kramarzcuk was third in the triple jump with a career-best 12.98 meters, followed by
Sean Souksavath in fourth, who also had a career-best at 12.41 meters. Kramarczuk (9.08) also competed in the 60-meter hurdles and was eighth.
St. Olaf is back to action on Friday, Jan. 17 for the St. Olaf Triangular beginning at 5 p.m.
