ST. PAUL, Minn. – The St. Olaf College men's track and field posted nine top-two finishes at the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational on Saturday at Macalester Stadium.
St. Olaf's lone event win of the day came from sophomore
Andrew Mollison in the shot put. Mollison won the three-person event with a throw of 12.94 meters (42' 5 ½"), while junior
Aengus White was second (12.16m, 39' 10 ¾").
The runner-up finish for White was one of two on the day for the junior, who also took second in the discus throw (40.44m, 123' 8").
First year
Jacob Colich placed second in the 100-meter hurdles (16.18) and was part of St. Olaf's second-place 4x100-meter (44.08) and 4x400-meter (3:27.78) relays. Colich was joined on the 4x100 by sophomore
Lucas Kramarczuk, first year
Henry Fisher, and junior
Duncan Forbes, while junior
Daniel Nichols, junior
Luke Malek, and Forbes joined him on the 4x400.
Nichols added a runner-up result in the 400-meter dash (52.93), while classmate
Eliott Cassidy posted the sixth-best time in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season in the 1,500 meters (3:58.58) on his way to a second-place finish.
First year
Rayan Elahi vaulted to a second-place showing in the pole vault (3.70m).
St. Olaf heads across town for the Rolex Classic at Carleton on Wednesday, May 5 at 5 p.m.
