LA CROSSE, Wis. – Sophomore
Lucas Kramarczuk posted the second-fastest time in program history in the 110-meter hurdles as five members of the St. Olaf College men's track and field team were in action at the UW-La Crosse Last Chance Qualifier on Thursday at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.
Kramarczuk entered the day tied for eighth on St. Olaf's all-time list in the 110-meter hurdles but established the program's second-best time in the prelims (14.76) and bettered the time in the finals (14.72). His times were good for fifth in the prelims and third in the finals, with the finals time of 14.72 seconds ranking in the top 25 in the country this spring.
St. Olaf also had three competitors in the 1,500-meter run and all three set personal-best times at the meet.
Reuben Kosche placed third (3:53.38) and was followed closely by
Sam Stresemann in fourth (3:54.63), while
Ian Curtis was 10th (4:04.85).
Will Kelly also competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and took fourth with a time of 9:42.02. The time was a PR by over eight seconds for the first year.
The meet was the last chance for student-athletes to qualify for the 2021 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The qualifiers for the national meet will be announced via press release on Friday, May 21 on NCAA.com.
