ST. PAUL, Minn. – Senior
Christine Albrecht ran a top-10 time in the country in the 1,500-meter run, as the St. Olaf College women's track and field team competed at the Joe Sweeney Invitational at the University of St. Thomas' O'Shaughnessy Stadium on Wednesday.
Albrecht recorded a nine-second PR to place third in the 1,500-meter run (4:31.85) – behind All-Americans Fiona Smith of the College of Saint Benedict and Clara Mayfield of Carleton College – to position herself to qualify for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The time also put the senior fifth on St. Olaf's all-time list in the event.
Albrecht's finish was one of nine top-three finishes and 13 top-five results in the unscored meet for St. Olaf. In total, the Oles logged six performances that landed on the program's all-time top-10 list.
First-year
Grace Moeller and sophomore
Sofia Carlson accounted for St. Olaf's two event wins on the track, as Moeller won the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:23.27) and Carlson placed first in the 5,000-meter run (17:08.82). Moeller's time saw her break onto the Oles' top-10 list in sixth and ranks third in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season.

Alison Bode and junior
Bella Call, with the latter two posting top-10 times in program history. Carlson won the event in 17:08.82, which ranks third in the MIAC and 24th in the country. Bode crossed the line in second in 17:18.65, which is fourth in the MIAC and moved her up three spots from seventh to fourth in program history. Call's third-place time of 17:41.18 slid her into ninth on the Oles' list.
Senior
Annika Muller compiled an outdoor PR of 11.45 meters (37' 6 ¾") in the triple jump to finish second. The result moved Muller from third to second on St. Olaf's all-time list and ranks fourth in the MIAC this spring.
Junior
Aleah Keske had top-five finishes in three throwing events, including a runner-up result in the shot put (12.29m, 40' 4"). The junior was also third in the discus throw (39.81m, 130' 7") and fifth in the hammer throw (43.01m, 141' 1"), with the latter mark bettering her third-best throw in program history by three feet.
St. Olaf has three competitors in action at the MIAC Heptathlon on Thursday and Friday, May 4-5 at Carleton College before hosting the Ole Open on Saturday, May 6 in its final meet before the MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 12-13.
