GREENWOOD, Ind. – Twelve members of the St. Olaf College men's and women's soccer programs were named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District ® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, as announced on Tuesday.
Six members of both teams were selected to the teams, which recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. In order to be recognized, nominees must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point averages, and must compete in 90 percent or start in 66 percent of their institution's games during the season.
On the women's list, junior
Katie Beaudry, junior
Cat Duffy-Shaw, and senior
Sadie Klassen all secured their second CSC Academic All-District ® accolades, while sophomore
Emily Johnson, junior
Abbie Manhard, and senior
Mia Van der Heide were honored for the first times. Beaudry, Duffy-Shaw, and Klassen were among the list of honorees who will advance to the Academic All-America ® ballot.
On the men's list, fifth-year senior
Clemente Arcuch Puig and senior
Shea Bechtel landed their third CSC Academic All-District ® honors, juniors
Ben Beckman and
Caspar Olseth claimed their second, and sophomore
Ryan Bechtel and junior
Robi Buzakovic were first-time honorees. Arcuch Puig and both Bechtels will represent St. Olaf on the Academic All-America ® ballot.
First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America ® honorees will be announced on Dec. 10 (men) and Dec. 11 (women).
