BIWABIK, Minn. – Three members of the St. Olaf College men's and women's alpine skiing teams opened their 2025-26 seasons at the Giants Ridge International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Season Opener on Saturday and Sunday at Giants Ridge Recreation Area.

Senior Wyatt Shultz and first year Will Sullivan represented St. Olaf in the two days of slalom competition, while senior Jessica Stanton was in action for the Ole women.

Stanton posted St. Olaf's top finish of the weekend on Saturday by placing seventh (1:20.84). Shultz was the lone Ole to complete both runs on both days, finishing 13th (1:17.18) on Saturday and 12th (1:20.37) on Sunday. Sullivan took 23rd (1:25.81) in his collegiate debut on Sunday.

After finals conclude, St. Olaf will be in action at the FIS-Midam event at Searchmont Resort in Ontario held Friday through Monday, Dec. 19-22.
