SEARCHMONT, Ont./BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The St. Olaf College men's and women's alpine skiing teams were in action at the FIS-Midam Searchmont and Chuck Stone Memorial Race over the holidays at Searchmont Resort and Buck Hill.
Five members of the men's team ventured to Ontario to race in two giant slalom and two slalom events at the FIS-Midam Searchmont, highlighted by first year
Jackson Reents tying for first in the giant slalom to close out the event. Reents posted a time of 1:40.33 over his two runs on Monday, making up a deficit of nearly half a second on the second run.

Tate Wilker both logged top-10 performances in the first giant slalom race of the four-day competition. Wilker finished seventh (1:38.67) for his top finish of the weekend, while Reents was ninth (1:39.35). Senior
Wyatt Shultz was St. Olaf's top finisher in Saturday's slalom in 19th (1:42.72), while Wilker was the top Ole on the leaderboard in Sunday's slalom in 11th (1:41.98). Wilker had three top-15 showings out of the four races, as he was 13th (1:42.91) in the giant slalom on Monday.
On Tuesday, both St. Olaf teams participated in the annual Chuck Stone Memorial Race at Buck Hill. Sophomore
Austin Mjanger paced four Ole men with a sixth-place showing (55.46), while junior
Elanore Robb did so for the women in 10th (1:01.29). First year
Eloise Backer was also in the top 20 for the women in 19th (1:04.23).
The Oles will return to Buck Hill for FIS competition on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 3-4.
