Kevin Turlington set the indoor school record in the 5,000-meter run as the St. Olaf College men's track and field team competed at four different meets on Friday and Saturday.
Turlington broke the program record of 14:20.51 set by Will Kelly '24 in 2024 by less than half a second with a winning time of 14:20.28 at the Midwest Elite Invitational on Friday evening in Kachel Fieldhouse in Whitewater. Turlington's time is the fastest in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season and ranks No. 8 in NCAA Division III. Senior
Gael Manzur Strandlund ran the No. 2 time in the conference this season (15:11.58) as well.
St. Olaf sent a group of five runners to South Dakota State University to race in the 800-meter run on Friday. Junior
Christian Fells was the top NCAA Division III finisher on the day in seventh (1:53.06), a time that ranks fourth on St. Olaf's all-time performers and performances lists. Senior
Cullen Moore (15th), sophomore
Austin McInturff (19th, 1:53.77), and senior
Lance Nemecek (20th, 1:53.81) also posted top-10 performances in program history in the event.

Rik Cumps traveled to Mankato for the Ted Nelson Classic on Saturday, with Albertson recording the MIAC's top mark in the long jump this season (6.96m, 22' 10") to finish as the runner-up. Cumps added the No. 5 mark in the conference this season to place 11th (6.45m, 21' 2").
The majority of St. Olaf's roster was in action at the UW-Stout Quad on Saturday, with sophomore
Jackson Bullock and senior
Jonathan Pattie logging first-place finishes on the track. Bullock won the 800-meter run (1:56.03) while breaking Moore's meet record of 1:56.26 set last season. Pattie won the 5,000-meter run (15:27.10) to lead a top-six sweep by the Oles.
In its final meet before the MIAC Indoor Championships, St. Olaf will host the Tostrud Classic on Friday, Feb. 20, with field events starting at 5 p.m. and track events at 6 p.m.
