ST. PAUL, Minn. – The St. Olaf College men's track and field team continued its tune-ups for the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships by winning three events at the Joe Sweeney Invitational on Wednesday at O'Shaughnessy Stadium.
Competing against programs from NCAA Division I, II, and III, St. Olaf won three events on the track and had 28 top-10 performances at the unscored meet. The Oles also had three results that landed on the program's all-time performers list and four that fell on its all-time performances list.
Senior
Cullen Moore led three Oles in the top four in the 800-meter run by winning the event in 1:51.51, which is the fastest time in the MIAC this season and ranks 16th in NCAA Division III. Moore's time also sits in the top four on both of St. Olaf's all-time lists.
Junior
Christian Fells was the runner-up to Moore in 1:51.61, which ranks second in the conference and 18th nationally, while sitting fifth and sixth, respectively, in program history. Senior
Lance Nemecek finished fourth (1:52.81) in the event as well.
Sophomore
Garrett Seppanen ran the MIAC's third-fastest time in the 5,000-meter run this season to win the event in 14:35.31, while St. Olaf's 4x400-meter relay of sophomore
Cristian Escobar Pearson, first year
Aidan McKeever, sophomore
Jakob Eenigenburg, and sophomore
Gavin Vogel clocked in at 3:19.85 to win that event.

Ethan Martel both posted runner-up finishes on the track, with Bullock doing so in the 1,500-meter run (3:58.82) and Martel in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:42.36). Senior
Ignatius Fitzgerald was third in the 1,500-meter run (3:59.04) as well.
Albertson recorded the top finish in the field events for St. Olaf with a runner-up performance in the long jump (7.00m, 22' 11 ¾"). That jump ranks second in the MIAC this season and tied for 10th on the Oles' performances list.
In addition to running on two relays, Escobar Pearson moved up to seventh on St. Olaf's performers list in the 100-meter dash with a seventh-place showing (10.92).
Junior
Jesse Olson and first year
Brendan Steinhofer will represent St. Olaf in the MIAC Decathlon on Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1 at Carleton College's Laird Stadium before the Oles host the Ole Outdoor Open on Saturday, May 2 at noon.
