WOODBURY/EDINA, Minn. – The St. Olaf College women's golf team again broke the program's single-round team record as part of a fifth-place finish at the St. Kate's Fall Invite on Saturday and Sunday at Eagle Valley Golf Course and Braemar Golf Course.

For the third time in as many weekends to start the season, St. Olaf posted the lowest single-round team score in recorded program history by shooting a 304 (+16) in Saturday's round in Woodbury. The 304 was two strokes better than the 306 the Oles shot in the second round of the D3 Classic on Sunday, Sept. 13.

St. Olaf was fourth as a team after Saturday's first round and dipped to fifth after shooting a 319 (+31) on Sunday to finish with a team total of 623 (+47). The Oles were second in the 11-team field in par-four scoring (4.38) and pars (107) for the weekend.

Junior Anneliese Carlson and first year Aliyah Kleven tied for 16th overall with 36-hole scores of 154 (+10). Carlson had three birdies in a career-low 74 (+2) on Saturday before shooting 80 (+8) on Sunday. Kleven had a par or bogey on 34 of her 36 holes while shooting rounds of 75 (+3) and 79 (+7). Kleven led the field in pars with 29 on the 36 holes.

First year Lexi Fertig was also in the top 20 for the Oles, winding up one shot behind Carlson and Kleven in a tie for 19th (155, +11). Fertig carded four birdies in her 74 (+2) on Saturday and had no worse than a bogey on any hole all weekend.

Sophomore Addison Powers competed as an individual and shot back-to-back rounds of 80 (+8) to tie for 27th (160, +16). First year Amita Crowley was one shot behind Powers in a tie for 32nd (161, +17).

In its final tournament before the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Championships, St. Olaf will play at the Carleton Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26-27 at Oneka Ridge Golf Course and Faribault Country Club.
