OWATONNA, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's tennis team defeated UW-La Crosse 5-4 Friday night in their 2016 season opener.

St. Olaf's (1-0) Ben Carlson (6-4, 6-3) and Christian Beck (6-0, 6-1) won the No. 2 and No. 3 singles matches, respectively, while the team swept all three of the doubles matches to secure the team win.

All the singles matches were decided in straight sets.

St. Olaf will be back in action again tomorrow in Owatonna to take on the College of St. Scholastica.
