MENOMONIE, Wis. – Sophomore
Cade Feist recorded the top throw in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season in the shot put, as the St. Olaf College men's track and field team competed at the UW-Stout Quad on Friday.
Feist was the runner-up in the shot put with a mark of 15.13 meters (49' 7 ¾") to equal St. Olaf's top finish of the meet. In addition to being the top throw in the event in the conference, the sophomore's mark ranks in the top 50 in the country this season and bettered his own eight-best standing in program history in the event.
Senior
Lucas Kramarczuk also logged a runner-up finish for the Oles, placing second in the 60-meter hurdles (8.24) after finishing eight one-thousandths of a second behind Bethel University's Josh Sampson (8.231 to 8.239). The time of 8.24 was two-tenths of a second behind Kramarczuk's school-record time set earlier this season.
In the pole vault, sophomore
Dylan Arnold recorded the second-best clearance in the MIAC this season by clearing 4.43 meters (14' 6 ¼") to finish fifth in the event. Senior
Sean Souksavath added a third-place finish in the triple jump (12.79m, 41' 11 ½").
In his first meet of the indoor season following an All-America season in cross country, junior
Will Kelly placed third in the 5,000-meter run in 14:56.04, which stands fourth in the MIAC and ranks in the top 40 in NCAA Division III this season. Senior
Anders Cote was one spot behind Kelly in fifth (15:13.34) with the fifth-fastest time in the MIAC this winter.
Sophomore
Olaf Coffey produced the conference's fifth-fastest time in the one-mile run by finishing fifth in 4:21.40.
St. Olaf hosts the Tostrud Classic on Saturday, Feb. 18 in its final meet before the MIAC Indoor Championships.
