ST. PAUL, Minn. – Senior
Lucas Kramarczuk broke his own school record in the 110-meter hurdles and had one of three first-place finishes for the St. Olaf College men's track and field team at the unscored Tomcat Invitational on Friday at O'Shaughnessy Stadium.
Kramarczuk topped his previous school record by one one-hundredth of a second with a time of 14.40 seconds to place second in the 110-meter hurdles. The time ranks second in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) and seventh in NCAA Division III this season.
Kramarczuk also had a first-place finish and posted the conference's top mark in the long jump (6.73m, 22' 1"), while sophomore
Dylan Arnold and junior
Will Kelly added event victories of their own. Arnold logged the MIAC's top clearance in the pole vault on his way to winning the event (4.67m, 15' 3 ¾"), moving up a spot to sixth on St. Olaf's all-time list and posting a top-20 clearance in the country.
Kelly led five Oles in the top 10 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase by winning the event in 9:09.75, which ranks first in the conference and sixth in the country this outdoor season. The time also bettered Kelly's own fourth-best standing in program history. The junior added a sixth-place finish in the 800-meter run (1:57.02) to post the MIAC's second-fastest time of the spring.
Sophomore
Cade Feist registered a second-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 15.18 meters (49' 9 ¾") for the conference's top throw this season. The mark also ranks 26th nationally. Senior
Andrew Mollison was sixth in the event (13.86m, 45' 5 ¾") and his mark trails only Feist among MIAC competitors this season.
Sophomore
Eh Ler Moo joined Kramarzuk in the top three in the long jump by placing third (6.61m, 21' 8 ¼") with a jump that ranks third in the MIAC, while junior
Anders Cote crossed the line fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:33.56) with a time that trails only Kelly in the conference.
St. Olaf will have competitors at three different meets this coming week, including the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 13-15), the UW-Platteville Invitational (April 14), and the Bethel Invitational (April 15).
