COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Junior
Isabel Wyatt broke the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) record in the 1,000-meter run, as the St. Olaf College women's track and field team was the runner-up at the MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, which concluded on Saturday at The Donald McNeely Spectrum.
Wyatt won her second MIAC individual title of the meet in a conference-record time of 2:51.13 to highlight St. Olaf's four All-MIAC (top three) performances on the final day of the meet. The Oles finished the three-day meet with 107.25 points to edge Concordia-Moorhead by 4.25 points for their first solo second-place finish since 2013. Bethel University won the team title with 140.25 points.
Wyatt won the 1,000-meter run by over 10 seconds, taking down the previous MIAC record of 2:51.48 by Emily Gapinski of the University of St. Thomas by just over three-tenths of a second. The junior's time bettered St. Olaf's previous program record of 2:54.28 by Megan (Daymont) Thomas '03 set in 2003 by over three seconds. Siri Erickson (8th, 3:04.51), with Abernethy collecting Honorable Mention All-MIAC honors in the process.
Senior
Alison Bode led three St. Olaf scorers in the 3,000-meter run with a runner-up time of 9:57.99, becoming the fourth Ole to crack 10:00 in the event. Bode's time earned her All-MIAC honors and saw her rise all the way to third on St. Olaf's all-time list. Senior
Sofia Carlson (5th. 10:13.50) and junior
Lauren Walda (6th, 10:18.45) secured two of the honorable-mention spots in fifth and sixth, respectively.
Sophomore
Mara Larson was the conference runner-up in the high jump to earn All-MIAC honors for the second season in a row. Larson cleared her first three heights on her first try before needing her third attempt to clear a 1.57 meters (5' 1 ¾"). The sophomore got over 1.60 meters (5' 3") on her first attempt before going out on 1.63 meters (5' 4 ¼"), as she edged Elle Thorson of Bethel for second with fewer misses.

Emma Storbakken, and Wyatt claimed all-conference honors and landed second on St. Olaf's all-time list with a third-place time of 4:02.21. Sophomore
