LA CROSSE, Wis. – Six members of the St. Olaf College men's and women's track and field teams ran in the 10,000-meter run at the Phil Esten Challenge on Saturday evening at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Gael Manzur Strandlund all ran top-six times on St. Olaf's all-time men's list to highlight the evening for the Oles. Senior

Gracia Larsen-Schmidt also competed in the races as all six Oles posted personal-best times on the night.
Lynn shattered his previous personal-best time by over a minute and 45 seconds with his fifth-place finish in 30:02.38. That time ranks second on St. Olaf's all-time list, with
Logan Bocovich '23 being the lone Ole to run a faster time, and is the fastest in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season.
Skemp was not far behind Lynn in sixth place in 30:08.43 to maintain his No. 4 standing on St. Olaf's all-time list with a PR of over 30 seconds. The junior's time trails only Lynn in the MIAC and both of those times rank in the top 35 nationally. Lynn and Skemp's finishes gave St. Olaf seven points in the team standings.
Manzur Strandlund also shattered his previous personal-best time of 32:22.86 by clocking in in 22nd place in 30:44.28 to move into sixth on St. Olaf's all-time list. Vite added an over-five-second PR of 32:59.93 to finish 55th.
Larsen-Schmidt and Gleason also set personal-best times as the lone two Oles in the women's heats. Larsen-Schmidt knocked nearly 15 seconds off her prior PR by finishing 31st in 39:23.47, which ranks fifth in the MIAC this season, while Gleason improved by nearly a minute with a time of 39:40.88 to take 33rd.
Both St. Olaf teams head up I-35 for the Gary Wilson Invitational at the University of Minnesota on Wednesday, April 24.
