EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The St. Olaf College men's and women's track and field teams had nine top-10 finishes apiece at the Dick & Mary Johnson Invitational on Saturday at Simpson Field.
Sophomore
Max Albertson recorded a pair of top-five performances in the jumps for the St. Olaf men, while junior
Ashlyn Jore and sophomore
Mara Larson posted top-five marks in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season in the long jump and high jump, respectively, for the Ole women. No team scores were kept at the meet.
Jore finished third in the long jump with a mark of 5.39 meters (17' 8 ¼"), which ranks third in the conference this season, while Larson cleared 1.53 meters (5' ¼") in the high jump for the fifth-highest clearance this season to place seventh. Senior

Emma Dauner registered St. Olaf's top placement with a second-place result in the 4x400-meter relay (4:07.07).
Junior
Aries Mendez added two top-10 performances in the throws, taking sixth in the javelin throw (31.46m, 103' 2") and 10th in the discus throw (36.77m, 120' 8"). In addition to being part of the second-place relay, Jaeckle and Dauner posted top-10 individual results in the sprints, with Jaeckle placing seventh in the 100-meter dash (12.90) and Dauner taking ninth in the 400-meter dash (1:01.04).
Albertson highlighted the day for the St. Olaf men with a runner-up showing in the long jump (6.82m, 22' 4 ½") and a fifth-place result in the triple jump (12.85m, 42' 2"). First year
Rik Cumps was also in the top six in both of those events, finishing fifth in the long jump (6.40m, 21' 0") and sixth in the triple jump (12.74m, 41' 9 ¾").
First year
Jakob Eenigenburg raced to a seventh-place finish in the 400-meter dash (51.22) and was joined in the top 10 by first year
Gavin Vogel in 10th (51.47). Seniors
Andrew Cogley and
Eh Ler Moo made it four Oles in the top 10 in the long jump in ninth (6.28m, 20' 7 ¼") and 10th (6.27m, 20' 7"), respectively.
St. Olaf's teams will continue their preparations for the MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Meet of the Unsaintly at Hamline University's Klas Field on Wednesday, April 30.
