Alvin Ness '33 was a three-year letterwinner for the St. Olaf football team and was a champion runner and cross-country skier. In 1933, he was crowned the "King of Winter Sports."
After St. Olaf, Ness spent 25 years teaching and coaching in high schools and junior colleges, eight years as a high school principal, and seven as a county superintendent of schools.
