St. Olaf College Athletics

Bob was a St. Olaf coach and athletics administrator for 33 years (1957-1990). In 22 seasons as the men's basketball coach, his teams won 275 games. This made his the winningest basketball coach in the school's history at the time of his induction. He also acted as assistant coach in both football and track and field until 1973, and served as the Director of Athletics for 16 years. During his time as Director of Athletics, the number of sports offerings increased from 11 to 26, including 12 sports for women.
