Bob Schumacher

Bob Schumacher was a three-sport athlete, earning two letters in football, three in basketball and three in golf.

He was an end and place kicker in football, earning all-conference honors as a senior. The team won conference championships in 1970 and 1971. Schumacher tallied 81 points his senior season, which was good for second in the conference. 

As a basketball forward, he averaged 14.7 points per game as a senior, and had a career-high scoring game of 31 points at the Division III Regionals. Schumacher helped the Oles to Midwest Conference championships in 1970-71 and 1971-72.

The senior MVP of the golf team, Schumacher played on six consecutive Midwest Conference championship teams from 1970-72.

He was part owner of R.C. Hanchette & Associates Insurance Agency in Elgin, Ill. from 1977 until it was sold in 1994. He was the sole owner of Beacon Hill Insurance Agency in Elgin from 1997 until it was also sold in 2003. Schumacher is now semi-retired and has been living in Manu, Hawaii since 2004. He is currently the varsity golf coach at Seabury Hall High School on Maui.
