Danielle Niska '91 is one of the most accomplished singles and doubles players in St. Olaf women's tennis history. Over the course of her career, Niska qualified for the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship three times in singles and once in doubles, in addition to team appearances in her final two seasons.

Niska played No. 1 doubles in all four of her seasons and, after starting her rookie season at No. 2 singles, moved up to No. 1 singles later in the season and stayed there for the remainder of her career. A four-year all-conference honoree, she finished all four seasons of her career in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national singles rankings, including a career-best No. 13 ranking as a senior, and was nationally ranked in doubles in 1988-89 (No. 27) and 1990-91 (No. 12) with two different partners. Niska's teams finished in the ITA's national team rankings three times, peaking at No. 6 to conclude the 1989-90 campaign.
