Todd Mathison '09 put together one of the best careers of any St. Olaf pitcher and also played as an infielder during his decorated four-year career. A 2006 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings Third Team All-American, he was also a rare four-time ABCA All-Midwest Region selection, including being a first-team honoree in 2006 and 2009.

Mathison is one of four Oles to earn All-MIAC accolades in all four of their seasons and was voted the MIAC Player of the Year in 2008. Upon his induction, his six shutouts and 27 wins were both program records, with the 27 wins ranking tied for third in MIAC history. He also ranked in the program's top 10 in opponent batting average (2nd), innings pitched (4th), fewest walks per nine innings (4th), appearances (4th), starts (5th), ERA (5th), saves (5th), assists (7th), complete games (7th), and strikeouts (t-8th). Mathison's teams went a combined 122-46 (.726), appeared in three NCAA Regionals, won two MIAC Playoff titles (2006, 2009), and won the 2007 MIAC regular-season title.
