Steve Paulsen advanced to the Division III Tennis Championships in 1982, 1983, and 1984, took part in the Division III Singles Championship quarterfinals in 1984, when he earned All-American honors, was team Most Valuable Player in 1982 and 1984, and team captain in 1984. Currently is Tennis director for Northwest Athletic Clubs and girls’ varsity tennis coach at Edina High School, where he coached the 1992 team that holds the national record for 15 consecutive state titles. Also has been boys’ tennis coach at Edina, winning three boys’ state championships, was St. Olaf tennis coach for one year, and was USPTA Coach of the Year in 1992.
